Nuclear power, cybersecurity, and other infrastructure on the list.
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced last week the investments into rural communities to launch the Rural Infrastructure Tour. The development of an energy vehicle network is the featured highlight on a large list of action items. The DOE will also be developing modular nuclear reactors, advancing cybersecurity, and providing $1 billion to improve energy infrastructure for communities with a population of 10,000 or less.
“Rural communities not only produce key energy inputs, but also can benefit from the economic growth and development that energy infrastructure investments unlock,” the DOE press secretary said. “The U.S. Department of Energy is committed to making transformative investments in rural energy infrastructure for clean transportation and new mobility strategies, energy generation and use, and enhanced cybersecurity.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Granholm to seek God’s direction as she heads the Energy Department.
- For Energy officials as they plan infrastructure and energy upgrades in rural locations.
- That the president and his energy advisors look to the Lord for wisdom as they implement strategies.
